When recycling plastics, you should also check to find the resin identification code (RIC) on the thing you want to recycle and check what numbers your zone recycles to make sure that thing can be recycled where you live! The RIC can be found if you look for something that looks either like the recycling symbol or a triangle on the plastic product---it's the number inside the symbol.
